Jet Lag (2009)

On a more intimate level, my art explores the space between “here” and “there”, which are connected by my personal experiences, such as in Jet Lag (2005). In this video installation, time and distance are collapsed, as my sleeping body is projected through an imagined space and into physical presence. Memories of a childhood visit to my parents’ homeland are recounted, reflecting on the unfixed nature of identity in/formed by global migration.
